David M. vonHartitzsch
David M. vonHartitzsch earned his J.D., with highest honors, in 2000 from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he was honored with the Order of the Curule Chair. While in law school, David received the Ronald M. Brochstein Award and CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Research, Analysis and Writing II, Law of Professional Sports, and Evidence Workshop. David also earned a Health Law Certificate. David served as an Articles Editor for Tulsa Law Journal and was a member of Phi Delta Phi. David received his B.A from Southern Methodist University in 1992.

David is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and Arkansas. He is a member of the Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tulsa County Bar Associations. David is admitted to practice before all Oklahoma courts, including the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. David has served on the Professional Responsibility Committee for the Tulsa County Bar Association (2006-2008).

David’s appellate practice has resulted in five published opinions: Mitchell v. Griffin Television, L.L.C., 60 P.3d 1038 (Okla. Civ. App. 2002); In re Commercial Financial Services, Inc., 298 B.R. 733 (10th Cir. BAP 2003); In re Commercial Financial Services, Inc., 427 F.3d 804 (10th Cir. 2005); Dunbar Engineering Corporation v. Rhinosystems, Inc., 232 P.3d 931 (Okla. Civ. App. 2010); and Deutsche Bank National Trust Co. v. Roberts, 223 P.3d 805 (Okla. Civ. App. 2010).

David was born in Wellington, New Zealand in 1970. He moved from New Zealand to New Castle, England before moving to the United States in 1973. In 1975, David moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he has lived ever since. David married his wife, Heather, in 1994. They have three daughters, August, Kylie and Lily who attend Jenks Public Schools. David attends and volunteers at Woodlake Church. He also volunteers his time as an official for USA Swimming. He enjoys cycling, triathlons and being active.
